Returning to the Scene (TAG: Angerboda)

Hermes had been flying around the city limits for a while now, intent on finding the warehouse where he had been kept captive.  He knew that he could always have asked Diana for directions, but she was clever, and she would have tried to stop him from returning.  And Hermes really didn't feel like fighting with her at the moment.  

So Hermes started checking out old warehouses, and so far, none of them had been very promising.  A few crack houses, some gang meet-ups, that kind of boring thing.  

However, his eyes brightened when he saw this particular abandoned warehouse.  Now this one seemed promising.  It was familiar.  

The god silently landed in front of the warehouse, his wings retreating back into his sneakers.  He then started walking around the perimeter, his hands clasped behind his back curiously as he inspected the warehouse.  Hm, it didn't seem like anything special, but then things like this rarely did.

"Nothing special indeed," a sinister yet sweet voice was heard throughout the warehouse. Silence followed, but not for long as some soft, calm stepps could be heard comming from Hermes opposite direction. The silhouette of a woman appeard into view, and stopped before the flashing lights showed her fully, leaving ehr in the shadows for the moment.
"Was asking myself how so many of you eneded up captured and braindead."
She almsot sounded amused, and slightly pittying, until a chuckling was meitted from her as she staretd to walk again, finally stepping into the lights enough for her to been seen. "Looking for anythigng special?"

Hermes blinked at the voice, and he turned to face the shadow of the woman.  He arched an eyebrow when she came into view, and gave a small, almost smirk before shrugging and looking up at the warehouse.  "Oh, you know, just lookin' around out of curiosity, not really looking for anything in particular," he said as he scratched behind his ear.  

"However, it does seem that I've found something special," his eyes alight with curiosity, Hermes stepped forward slightly, tucking his hands into the pockets of his suit.  "What're you then?  Obviously not human, yet you're not quite a god either . . . and you don't quite give off the nymph vibe, either," he shifted his weight and tilted his head.  "What is it then?"

She snorted out a chuckle, slightly amused. She knew he wasn't a human either, she could feel a those deity's precese anywhere and anyhow. However, this one here was lucky to not be one of those she's met. and he was smart enough to realise she wasn't a god either.
She raised an eyebrow at the nymph part. Well that was a first. "Curious one aren't you?" she smile sweetly. "And you'd be right, I'm not one of your kind or a nymph." She had reached him at this point, taking slow, calm stepps around him, observing him. "where I come from, my kind is called 'Jotun'."
she stopped a few feet infront of him. "So what kind of deity are you suppose to be?"

(Sure!!! ^-^ I'll have Hermes pop up and start bothering her XDDDD)

Hermes listened to her attentively, an eyebrow arching curiously. "Jotun? Frost Giant, right?" He asked, recalling the bit of Nordic mythology he'd read up on. That's right, they were the prominent gods here . . . interesting . . . .

When she stopped in front of him, Hermes perked up proudly, his hands clasped behind his back. "Oh, a Greek one! Name's Hermes! Messenger of the Gods, Guide to the Dead . . . I'm also the God of Thieves, Travelers, Orators, and Medicine, but no one ever remembers those things," he made a face.

Angerboda scoffed at the other title some thought her peopel went by. Really, 'Frost Giant'? Maybe some yeah, but not ALL of them. Almost seemed racist, since the jotuns were part of nature in general. They did not look all the same, or liked the cold. They looked different, depening on which element they were born from, if any element at all.
She sighend to herself, slightly turning away from him. Her interesst perked up though as he started to introduce himself. A small smirk tugging at her lips. "I guess there's one of your type in every myth," she grinned micheviously. "Normally I would've teared out your heart and eaten it by this point, but you've caught my interesst," she stated bluntly. "And don't tkae it personally, but people tend to ignore ignore the big picture and just go with the easiest."

"Oh, sorry, did I offend you? I'm a bit rusty on the Nordic stuff, I'm afraid," he admitted. Both of his eyebrows shot to the top of his forehead. "Torn out my heart and eaten it, really?" he laughed. "Ooh, I haven't been threatened with that in a long time," he leaned back against the wall of the warehouse, an almost nostalgic grin on his face. "Yeah, not since Circe. Oooh, she was a fun one. Had a bit of a problem with bestiality, though," he scratched the back of his neck as he looked back up at the woman. "Well, yeah, mortals tend to do that. That's why so many of the minor gods are so bitter," he reasoned. "Real shame, Phanes is loads of fun at parties," he chuckled, casting the woman a curious glance. "Who're you, then?"

She smirked darkly up at the man, a smile that said soemthign along the line of 'If you only knew~'
This guy sure reminded her of a certain someone. Someone who both annoyed the hell out of her, and who she yet respected and even liked. "Ah, so you're that Hermes," she snickerd. Since she pretty much despised the whole damn deity race, she didn't pay much attention to their legends and such. This one here however, she wouldn't deny and say had caught soem of ehr interesst, especially when younger.
"I go by alot of names both among your kind and humans," she sighend boredly. "I think the most common one is Angerboda."

(XDDD Because it's David Tennant? XD But yeah, the gifs might have something to do with that, sorry XD)

Hermes tilted his head again. "Didn't know there was another one. I would very much like to meet him if there was, though!" he added brightly.

When she finally introduced herself, Hermes scratched the back of his neck in consideration. "Yeah, that name rings a bell. Like I said, rusty on Nordic stuff, so I can't be sure, but that does sound familiar," he then shrugged and grinned at Angerboda. "Well, regardless, it's a pleasure to meet you, Angerboda!!"

She rolled her eyes at him, not sure if he was just acting it or really was that naive. She could tell he was intelligent, even with that childish smile of his. Gods are complex afterall.
"Can't say i'm surprised, I'm not known in other myth's beside the norse one," she shrugged non caring. 'Cause if he did know her, he probably wouldn't even stick around at this point. Unless of course, he was the curious and mindless type.

Hermes pouted slightly. "Aw, well I'm sure you're still brilliant!! You don't seem boring at all!" he commended her, his hands clasped behind his back and his eyes bright. This Angerboda seemed very interesting indeed, and just when Hermes had come to the conclusion that most mythical beings were boring, too . . .

Well, he supposed that only applied to the Greek ones. He hadn't even skimmed the surface of exploring all the other gods out there.

Of course, Hermes hadn't diluted himself into thinking that Angerboda was safe - oh, no. He'd had far too many dealings with other mystical creatures to know that every one had its own dangers, and he was certain this Jotun was no exception. After all, she had said she'd normally have ripped out his heart by now, and that just wasn't something that safe people said.

She scoffed at his words. She's been called alot of things during her liftime (which was a long time), and sure someone's called ehr brilliant at times but often when ti was about 'evil' stuff as humans put it. Still though, it was amusing to hear it from a god for once.
"You'd be pretty much right about that, most of us mythical beigns are boring," she said flatly, as if having heard his thoughts.
Normally she could without problem hear any mortal's thoughts echo throguh her mind, but when ti came to deity's it wasn't as easy. She was just lucky to have caught some it at this time. But then again, she wans't exactly intressted to know what went through his head. She had a feelign it would make her dizzy anyway.
"And no, I'm anything but safe little god," she smirked up at him. "But that's what makes things intressting and fun right?"

Hermes listened to her keenly, his eyes brightening slightly. "Ooooh, bit of a telepath then, are ya?" he asked, a playful grin on his face. "My, haven't met one of you in a long time," he crossed his arms as he looked at her curiously. "What else can you do, out of curiosity?"

She shrugged again. "It comes more easy and natrually with mortals. With your kind, i'd really have to try and squeeze inside your mind to hear your thoughts," she sighend. "But I rather not risk myself with that, you gods are to complicated for me to enjoy," she said simply. "Or horny."

At his question, a playfull smirk played along her lips, holding so much more than just simple mischievousness. "To put it simple," she purred, placing one icecold hand over his shoulder as she slowly started to circle around him. "I'm most well-known of being a witch of black magic and nightmares..."
Her hand followed what looked like an invisible trace over his shoulder and down along his back, her soft hand starting to form into black claws as somethign black and heavy started to drip out of her. "People used to say I wa the oen who created their ngithmares, controled the beasts stealing their children at night, and urging their inner darkness to consume them... making them lose their humanity and letting the animal gain control~"
The cold vanished, and so did the black liquied. Her hand had left him, and she wa socne again infrotn fo him with arms crossed over her waist in a lazy manner, as if nothing had just happend. "The darker part of nature would be my 'gift' a I guess," she shrugged again, boredly lighting a ciggarette.

Hermes kept his eyes trained on Angerboda, one eyebrow slightly arched and his mouth slightly upturned into a curious smile. He noticed the cold, and he could feel the black liquid. However, a part of him realized that this was all just an illusion . . . albeit a very good illusion. My my, she was talented.

He gave a bright grin when she finished talking. "Those are quite the powers!! You'd get along great with Nyx, I think," he said thoughtfully. "Hecate too, probably," he added as an afterthought, scratching the back of his neck. "I wouldn't be able to introduce you, though. They don't like me much."

The witch snorted out an amused laugh. "Trust me when I say, that they wouldn't like me either," she grinned wickedly at the greek god.
"Even if I might tolereate the greek deity's slightly more than the norse, I still can't stand your kind. I prefer to either slaguhter and eat their intestines, or just steal their sanity and leave them lost somewhere brainwashed. Quite entertaining actually," she smiled, recalling last time she did something like that.

"Ever heard of Prometheus?" Hermes asked, an almost amused smile on his face when Angerboda mentioned the intestines bit. However, at the mention of brainwashing, Hermes made a face. "Eh, most of them don't have enough brain left to wash," he scratched behind his head.

"Honestly, I don't blame you for not being too fond of the gods. From my experience, most of them act like teenagers with raging hormones ninety-percent of the time."

Angerboda laughed, starting starting to get rather fondly of this god. Thouhg of course that often meant trouble for the one she finds interesst in. But sicne he's a god (a highly intelligent at that), she's certain he'll do fine.
"I think I hvae. A titan who granted the humans fire right?" she chuckled, the cigarette she took out lighting itself.
"Guess we share the same experience with the deitys then," she hummed, blowing out smoke through her nose. "But enough chit chat. What were you hoping to find here, Hermes?"
